The Car Wash last Saturday at Ace Hardware was a success.  We raised $514.00 for the GO-Team!  Participants included Phil & Craig, Lynn & Audry, Chris & Preston, Susan & Emily, Camille, Regan and Richard.  We had some donate $10, some $40, some just donated without a car wash!  We also were able to share our motivation and that struck up some God-conversation too!  Thanks to Lynn for organizing the event.

We had our second team meeting on June 5th.  It was another great time together.  We had a more detailed discussion about our trip and an initial conversation about the people of Guatemala.  Many of us know very little about the people, but it is clear that we all want to know more so that we can minster in the most effective ways.  The prayer time with the group was excellent.  We held hands as a unified group as we went before our Creator asking for Him to work in many ways.  We all realize that we have nothing to offer apart from God. God calls us to be His ambassadors, and we are willing to deliver His message of redemption in love and through a complete willingness to serve.

We must now trust God in the raising of the funds necessary for our trip.  Our prayer is that God will move upon the hearts of each person we have contacted to help with funding.  God has already moved upon our hearts to give of our time and resources to work in Guatemala.  We pray that God will do a work in the hearts of others to support the ministry efforts.  God, please help us raise more than what is needed.  Please also give us people willing to pray.

Friday was an exciting evening for all of us.  We had our first kick off meeting in preparation for our trip to Guatemala!  It was great to look around the room and to see all the faces of eighth grade kids and parents excited about doing something hard this summer for God\'s glory.  We all seemed a little uneasy for a variety of reasons, but the shared sense was that we were exactly where we were supposed to be.  

We now turn to the task of raising support for the trip.  It is hard not to be a little apprehensive about raising $1,800 for each of us.  Having to raise $3,600 for each family sounds even more challenging.  But, God owns it all, and He has called us to \"go\".  So, we trust that He will provide the necessary resources.

God, we believe but help us when we doubt.  Remind us to talk to You about every anxious thought.  Please help us be diligent and deliberate and give us Your peace.  Please provide the resources we need and prepare our hearts for serving you this summer.
