We had a great flight down to Guatemala. The weather has been beautiful. On Saturday we had our first clinic. Many people showed up. I think I heard that about 80% of the adults who came prayed to recieve Christ! Several people were healed as well. Our time with Dr. Alb has been such a blessing to us all. Today we worshipped at a church in Antigua. We stayed in the city for a while and then the highlight of my day was the children\'s home! What God is doing there is amazing! Pastor Mike has had over 4000 children come through since he started the ministry. He has some of his first children who are house parents now. We were able to go in today and hold the babies and play with the kids. I was deeply moved by how happy the children were. We head out early in the morning for our next clinic! Please be in prayer for our team and the people we will minister to!

We did arrive in Guatemala despite predictions that tropical storm \\matthew would prevent us from being able to fly in. Dr. Alb called as we were going thru security in Atlanta to let me know of the severe weather in Guatemala but that the church was praying for the storm to move so that we would be able to make it in on time. We boarded our flight on time and except for a short mechancial delay it was a very smooth flight. When we landed in Guatemala it wasn\'t even raining. I guess you\'ve probably read the passage in James which says that the prayers of a righteous man accomplish much, in our case the prayers of many turned the storm a little to the east and we had good weather for landing.
It is rainy today although it did not dampen the day for us. We attended church at the new Vida Real church plant in Antigua. It was an energetic worship with an encouraging sermon on tru friendship delivered on video by Ronnie Madrid the Lead Pastor. We spent some time wandering thru a museum in the same hotel where the church is while we waited on the second service to complete. It was a very interesting look at some of the early artifacts of Guatemala.
We made an afternoon visit to Casa Aleluia where the kids were as much fun as ever. Now we\'re back at the ministry center about to order pizza and get ready for the work the Lord has prepared in advance ofr us to do.
Have a great week! More tomorrow. Susan
