Well we've finished our first full day in beautiful Guatemala. After two very smooth flights we landed on time and were escorted by Dr. Alb and his staff to the ministry center and got our first taste of Guatemalan driving which is exciting to say the least. Everyone has settled into the ministry center very well and we are more than comfortable. A handful of us also got to see a supermarket when we went to buy food for our three day journey out.

This morning we went to Dr. Alb's church, Vida Real, and saw their newest facility which was amazing! After lunch we went to the orphanage which was a wonderful experience that everyone enjoyed. The children were friendly and eager for us to hold and play with them. Its safe to say that no one wanted to leave.

Tomorrow we will be heading out for our overnight trip. We will return Wednesday evening. Please pray for those we will be serving and safe travel. I look forward to being able to share the teams stories when we return.

My new post

Wow! I can't believe how close we are to heading out! Our team is packed, our rides are set, and in less than forty-eight hours we'll be getting on a plane to Guatemala. Our flight to Miami leaves at 10 AM and from there we will be going strait to Guatemala City. Our team asks for prayers regarding travel safeties on our way there, and once again we ask for prayers regarding the recent natural disasters that have taken place in Guatemala including the hurricane, mudslides and volcano. Please pray for those who have been affected by these disasters as well as for continued safety for the people of Guatemala and our team. Once more, we would like to thank our generous sponsors who have allowed us to go on this trip. Please pray that God would use us in a mighty way this week and that we would see His Kingdom come! Less Than Two Weeks...

Wow, our departure date draws closer and closer! I'm sure I speak for the whole team when I say how very excited we are.

This Tuesday night we will be having our Prayer and Packing Party where our entire team will meet at 7:00 at the church with our luggage packed and ready to be checked. At 8:00 our church's wonderful prayer team will be praying over us, preparing us and sending us out.

In this last week, we ask for your continued prayer for our physical and spiritual safety as well as to prepare the hearts of those we will serve. We thank you for all your prayer and support up to this point.
