Day 2 began with a team breakfast, where the Lord's full food diversity was on display at the hotel resturant - everything from omletes, a full compliment of fresh orange, watermelon, & mango juices, and some very exotic fruits that looked more like sea creatures. We also enjoyed the very strong Guatemalan COFFEE, and weren't quite sure afterward if the Spirit was moving or just the caffeine.
Following the morning devotional, we had lunch with Estuardo - and then a visit to Angelino's funeral home business. It is amazing to see how God is moving there - 20+ employees, several business vehicles, and a very nice, 3-floor facility. The business is growing rapidly and thus experiencing many of the normal associated pains. I believe God put the team there at the right moment to share some wisdom that will truly help this young entrepreneur.
Later, as we made our way back to Showers of Grace, we got to experience Guatemala City rush hour, which turned a 30-minute jaunte into a 1.5 hour "path of least resistance" through of some of the toughest sections of the city. We are humbled by what God has given us, and pray for those who live with SO much less.
We made it to Session 2 and began work with the students. It is amzing to see the outpouring of energy that the students show in their efforts and the ideas God places in their hearts - plans for hospitals, beauty shops, advertising agencies - all with a Kingdom mission. The team's work is challenging, but rewarding, as we help the students make progress toward realizing their dreams.
