Atlanta - New York/Newark
One of the bags was oversize, almost had to pay a huge fee, but were able to tape it down to the proper size.
Carter was stopped in Newark to get his passport validated, was the last one on the plane, but the attendent moved him past the other passengers so he didn't have to check his luggage.
New York/Newark - Amsterdam
Slept a lot on the plane, nine hour flight, sadly there were no tv's, so sleeping and eating and ipods were all we did.
Amsterdam - Kilimanjaro - Arrived after 8 hours, TV's were on the plane to Arusha!!!! Arrived safe, amazingly no bags were searched, which is very rare.
Day 1 - Karanse, seeing compassion children and widows
We slept in houses at the Angaza women's center, had breakfast prepared and then left for a 30 minute drive to the Village of Karanse.
The children immediatly swarmed us all. Shay and Kristina blew bubbles, the other ladies talked and just loved on them.Carter ran and ran and ran, and was the ref for their soccer game. We saw the compassion kids and gave them their presents fromtheir sponsor parents. They loved them! Later on the ladies talked to about 60 widows. We gave all of the widows a bag of rice, they were so grateful!
Day 2 - Church
At 10:30 on Sunday morning, we went to the most amazing church services we've ever been to! The flower lady was blessing us with blossoms during praise and worship. We each gave our testimony or spoke words of encouragement to the congregation. It was amazing to see everyone, and I mean even the 2 year olds, singing, dancing, and clapping with so much energy and passion for 3 and a half hours! We all wish that churches back in America worshipped like that! We thank God for being the God of all nations! Then we ate lunch and visited two compassion children. Please tell everyone to pray for us as we are experincing spiritual warefare!
Day 3 - Karanse, Punchmi School (Poor Uneducated Children Ministry) and widow visits
Please Continue to pray for us! Bwana Asifiwe (Praise the Lord!)
