So sorry for the delay in sending out our first blog but we had some technical difficulties figuring out who could blog and who could not so it was confusing to us. Just remember we are a bunch of men so please be patient with us!!!
There is so much to tell that we can't begin to fill in all of the details, but if we were to give some words or phrases it would go like this......God is Great, Smooth and Easy Plane trip to Guatemala and then to MMM center, met many grateful Guatemalan people with literally nothing but God in their hearts, incredible father-son lessons from Dr. Alb, introduction to many guatemalan dishes, crazy driving in the streets of the City, a realization that we are truly blessed in what we have back home, Dr. Pepper man-pri's are a different breed of sleepwear, men and boys can have fun playing hearts, spades or monopoly and many incidents of where God's hand was on us. It has just been an awesome 4 days sp far with so many incredible experiences with our team and with the local Guatemalan people.
That fast forwards us to today (Wednesday) where we started our day with a quick breakfast and then had our 2 hour devotional from Dr. Alb starting at 7 a.m. which centered on how we are expected to serve and be the mouthpiece of God and that we are to not be afraid or ashamed to speak his story(BTW, all of our devotionals have been 2 - 3 hours - and yesterday all your sons and husbands were weeping...miraculously all of our cameras were broken at the same time, so there is no proof!). Afterwards, we loaded up in a caravan of trucks (Suburbans) and drove to a small village named Barsonomas (sp?) and a local church where we set up our clinic. There, we met with many residents that came for medical help and to listen to our stories of Jesus until late afternoon and then we drove back to the MMM Center. I think all of us had a special experience with the local residents that will have a lasting memory on each of us.
We all are now winding down and preparing for the next day in many different ways. We look forward to what tomorrow will bring!!!
