About East Asia
With a population of over a billion people, there are more English students in East Asia alone than there are people in the USA! Building friendships with students is an easy way to share your life with the "Next Generation." Increasing urbanization and pollution have given us many opportunities to show God's mercy. As the national economies of East Asia continue to grow and engage the global marketplace, Perimeter is also impacting leaders of these economies by providing training, relationships, experience, resources and a vision for a global marketplace where business is ministry.

East Asia Facts
East Asia is a subregion of Asia that can be defined in either geographical or cultural terms. Geographically, it covers about 12,000,000 square-kilometers, or about 28 percent of the Asian continent, about 15 percent bigger than the area of Europe. More than 1.5 billion people, about 40 percent of the population of Asia or a quarter of all the people in the world, live in geographic East Asia, which is about twice the population of Europe. The region is one of the world's most populated places, with the population density of East Asia, 131 per square-kilometer, being about three times the world average of 45 per square-kilometer (from Wikipedia).
