Project C.H.I.L.D. Distinctives
Imara's Project CHILD is a unique sponsorship program because of its truly holistic approach. Sponsored children are educated, fed, discipled, and mentored five days per week, from entrance into the program through middle school. Sponsored children see God's provision, learn responsibility, and develop the unique gifts each has received as persons made in the image of Christ. Individual sponsors are able to be involved in personal, ongoing, and meaningful relationships with sponsored children. Sponsor churches impact an entire village in significant ways as hundreds of children and families are impacted. The Tanzanian church is enabled to be the hands and feet of Christ to their community. Imara provides organization, oversight and accountability for the programs being administered in Tanzanian villages. The Kingdom of God is built as relationships grow between Imara staff, the Tanzanian church and village, and the international church.
