The school (including the teachers' salaries, food for all the students and staff, classroom supplies, and much more) is completely funded by Project Child which is a separate and different child sponsorship program from Compassion International. At this point, a large portion of the students in the school are sponsored through the Compassion program, not through Imara?s Project Child program. This means that no funds are received for the school for those children. In order to help sustain the school and continue to provide the resources needed, we have developed a scholarship program.

The scholarship program is for students that are sponsored through Compassion International and attending the Karanse Christian School. Over the years, we have seen that the greatest impact into the life of the child occurs through the ministry and relationships as a result of the school. The difference is significant in academics compared to the government schools. However, there is no comparison in the area of life on life discipleship that occurs in the classroom through the love and care of the teachers and others.

The scholarship program is $20 per month that would go towards your child's education at the school that allows your child to receive a quality academic and Biblically based education. Please consider sponsoring your child in the scholarship program in addition to the compassion program.
