Ministry Plan
Our Beneficiaries:
Polish people in the various cities where our partners and associates live, work and minister, primarily in Warsaw and Poznan. Those of us who will learn from our partners, associates, and the Polish people, especially those of us who travel to Poland.
Their Situation:
Polish people in general have a sterile relationship with Christ. Their strongest relationship is with the Catholic priests and the Virgin Mary. The Polish people view "Church" as only the Catholic Church and view protestant churches as "Cults" much the way we view cults like Jehovah's Witnesses in the USA. The Catholic Church of Poland is representative of both Polish religion and Polish Culture.
The Polish people may drift to Western Europe secularism if they do not find a way to develop a personal relationship with Christ and see, first hand, how Christ can be relevant in their lives. Over 1 million, mostly young people, have emigrated to W. Europe in search of better jobs and opportunities (Poland has ~38M population).
Their Objectives and Challenges:
Our Next Gen Ministry Partners are reaching out to the community and spreading the gospel through musical workshops, concerts, summer camps and bible studies. They need talent and money to develop leaders, execute plans, and reach out to the communities.
Church planting, to be transformational, quite often must be done in a non-traditional way. Young people can be invited to bible studies, discipleship groups, music workshops, etc, and they are open to attending. Mostly they will not be open to an invitation to a non-Catholic Church, they will not risk alienating their families.
Spread the gospel through church planting/overcome the stigma of being protestant (viewed in Poland as a cult). Traditional, brick and mortar, evangelical church plants have been limited in size, typically 50-100 members. The Bajenski started churches have been the most successful, but still somewhat limited in size to ~350 - 400 people. Through 'Hope for Poland' bring the message of the Gospel to every Polish home.
Through Bread of Life ministries, rehabilitate homeless men who want to become productive members of society, take care of the hungry and destitute, and minister to the many international students in Poznan.
Our Ministry's Solution:
For Perimeter to work with our partners and associates as they minister in Poland. Key initiatives:
Gospel Joy: Work with Gospel Joy to bring mission minded artists to Poland to work in leading GJ workshops, sharing their testimony and the Gospel. Help with summer workshops, help to provide musical equipment and to help fund initiatives in new cities, including Warsaw and the Kirk Franklin concert.
Life on Life ministry: Partner with the Bajenski's as they work to bring the Gospel to every home in Poland through their 'Real Hope for Poland' initiative. Work with them in discipleship training and funding projects to develop leaders and create bridges to the community as they plant churches and perform community outreach projects.
Conduct Business training to follow up with previous HighMark participants in the Poznan and Warsaw region.
Mercy and Justice: Continue to support Bread of Life Ministries, started under the umbrella of the Piotr Zaremba church and headed up by the young couple Richard and Brook Nungesser as they continue to build bridges to the greater Poznan community. Plan to work on one project with them this Fall. Their ministries include a soup kitchen, clothing closet, New Life Center to rehabilitate homeless men, and a Karate Club for disadvantaged youth.
Discipleship training: Organize a Summer trip for Randy and members of his discipleship group and Global Outreach to conduct discipleship training/mentoring with the Bajenski's.
Our Ministry's Life Transformation:
Break the general cycle in Europe of the youth leaving the church. In Poland, work with Gospel Joy within the context of Poland (a Catholic Nation), through music, to make Christ relevant on a personal basis to the next generation.
Work with the Bajenski's to provide prayer and financial support to their church planting, vision casting, and 'Real Hope' activities. Through a visit of Randy Pope, continue work to make discipleship groups more of a reality in Poland.
Through our support of Bread of Life ministries, help our ministry partners to reach out to the community through soup kitchens, clothing closets, International church ministries, and rehabilitation of the homeless. Through our testimonies, teaching and support, bring the message of the hope of Christ to them.
Continue to train and consult with Polish businessmen in biblical ethical principals, increase their participation and support of the churches.
To support all of the above, continue to provide leadership and discipleship training.
Our Ministry's Measurable Impact:
Supported Gospel Joy with mission minded artists, business people, musical equipment prayer and financial support. Over a dozen young men and women have accepted Christ, many dozens are seeking, and thousands are being exposed to the message of salvation through the workshops and concerts.
Continue to partner with the Bajenski's for Discipleship training, vision casting, Leadership development, community outreach, 'Real Hope' for Poland (goal of bringing the gospel message to each home in Poland over the next three years) and church planting. Eighty two pastors and leaders trained in Discipleship training in Feb. of 2007. Twelve churches planted over the last 15 years.
Work with Bread of Life to reach out to the least and the lost. Many hundreds fed and clothed at soup kitchens and clothing closets. Hundreds of International students have heard the Gospel message at the International church, and several men have been rehabilitated through the work of the New Life Center. The Karate club continues to work with the disadvantaged youth of Poznan.
BPI- trained 20 business people in Poznan and 20 in Warsaw. Continue to follow up with some. Initial results of working with Steve Tucker (Johnson Ferry Baptist Church) have promise for the future, reaching businessmen and church leaders.
Our Ministry's Kingdom Value:
Gospel Joy will continue to conduct workshops, concerts, bible studies, in the six cities they currently focus on and expand into Warsaw in Fall of 2008. They have started 6 bible studies, reached over 5,000 workshop participants, over 14,000 attended concerts and reached thousands more through contacts in each city.
BPI Mentor previous attendees at our HighMark seminars, support Polish led business seminars and work with JFB as possible.
Life on Life Ministries, ProEcclesia - Support the Bajenski's as they "plant new churches and serve as a catalyst for a church planting movement in Poland". "Mobilize and revitalize existing congregations to help them impact their communities, grow, and multiply". (from the ProEcclesia plan document). Support the Bajenski's in vision casting and Real Hope for Poland to bring the Gospel to every home in Poland. Work with them in leadership development, discipleship making, and building bridges to the community through the Real Hope for Poland initiatives.
