Message from NRMT Leader

A Message From the NRMTL: Ken Branscombe

This will be my fourth year as Poland NRMTL, and I continue to be amazed, enriched, blessed, and joyful to work with our ministry partners in Poland, the Polish NRMTL team, the Global Outreach Staff, and the Perimeter people who have a heart for Poland.

I am amazed to see what God is doing with the Next Gen ministry, Gospel Joy (GJ) and the fruits of that ministry. They currently have a history and are active in six cities and in 2008 they will expand into Warsaw for the first time to host a concert by Kirk Franklin and conduct a workshop and concert in Sept. of this year. They will also host the Toronto Gospel Choir who will conduct a tour of Poland in support of Gospel Joy and the message of the Gospel. During the spotlight and partner conference we met one of the ?Catholic? young ladies who attended a GJ workshop, learned for the first time the Gospel message, accepted Christ as her personal Lord and Savior, and is now active in the Word Zone, which is the GJ sponsored discipleship groups formed as a result of the GJ workshops and concerts. Our BHAG goal for 2009 is to bring the GJ choir to Atlanta so they can experience the Christian faith, not as a ?sect? (Poland is 98% nominally Catholic) but as the vibrant, major religion and to have the choir members live with us and bless our lives.

I am enriched to have the opportunity to work with, learn from, and enjoy the great Christian leaders of Poland. Piotr Zaremba has planted several churches in the Poznan area, pastors the vibrant 5N church, and under his leadership Gospel Joy, Bread of Life, the International Church and many other ministries have flourished. Our partners in Warsaw, Andrzej and Luke Bajenski provide mature Christian leadership across all of Poland, and they reach out to the Polish people at home and abroad with their ?Real Hope for Poland? message of the Gospel. Our BHAG goal this Summer is to have them, their leaders, and Randy Pope work on discipleship and pastoral care issues to further the Bajenski?s work in Poland and to enrich Randy with their blessings and hope for their country.

I am blessed to work with my NRMTL team, Lewis Singletary, Allan Wiltshire, Dwight and Virginia Johnson, who love Poland and what God is doing there, and to work with the Global Outreach staff, who provide the foundation, support, love, and programs to bring the message of the Gospel to all the diverse places we work around the globe.

I am joyful that God allows me to participate in his Kingdom work and for the joy I have in working (and playing) in Poland!

The challenges we will have this next year are great. Gospel Joy is taking great bold steps in helping to bring Kirk Franklin to Poland, expanding cities, expanding the Word Zone and developing young Christians. The Bajenski?s are aggressively taking the message of the Gospel to every Polish home by 2010, and providing the spiritual leadership and discipleship to accomplish this BHAG Kingdom building. We will seek to further develop our partnership with the M&J ministry, Bread of Life, and will continue to work with the businessmen we met during the HighMark business seminars, and to look for new business partnering opportunities. We will do all of this with the challenge of a dramatically weakened dollar which has lost 27% purchasing power in the last 15 months against the Polish Zloty and we plan to do all of this with our eye focused on developing mature Christian leaders and building bridges to the communities.
