Pray For IMARA Jul 01
Dear praying friends of Imara
Warmest greetings in Jesus' name.
Please find attached the bulletin for July.
There will be a "Sabbath rest" for the bulletin in August. I hope to be in Arusha at the end of July with a group from Australia. The bulletin for September will be out towards the end of the first week in September.
Thank you all for your faithfulness in prayer for Imara and its ministry.
He (Jesus) said to her (the woman who had had internal bleeding for 14 years), "Daughter, your faith has healed you. Go in peace and be freed from your suffering." (Mark 5:34 NIV)
This passage sits within the story of Jesus and Jairus who has asked for healing for his daughter.
The woman's perpetual uncleanness (with all the consequences in her family and social life) explains her fear both of openly requesting help and then of being discovered after she received it.
The three aspects of Jesus' response -
- 1. Your faith has rescued you.
- 2. Go in peace.
- 3. Be healed from your illness,
are, for me, a window into appreciating how God deals with us in our "uncleanness" because of our sin.
There is GOOD NEWS here for all. God, who we reach out to and touch, does not reject us, but embraces us with a love, which moves us, like the woman, to fall to our knees in worship and confession of all that has kept us from God.
This is not just a message to the woman, but it is a message to all who feel the weight of being shunned.
I thank God for the ministry of Imara. The work of the HIV/AIDS team, for example, gives a poignant and practical imperative to this message.
May we all be sensitive to the "lightest touch" of those who are seeking the God who through faith offers freedom from suffering and eternal peace.
Every blessing

Pray For IMARA Jun 26
Dear Pray-ers...
How can we thank you enough for doing battle in the heavens for us? I have no idea how many stand with us around the world - but I know you are many. For those of you gifted in the area of intercessory prayer, be encouraged and so many thanks for using your time. For those who pray with us now and again as you are able... thanks - know you make a difference! I know we are protected, provided for and watch over of the tapestry of prayer that comes before God from all over the world.

You will be equipped to go as learners and servants - realizing that we have much to learn from our brothers and sisters around the world. Teams consist of a leader and anywhere from 3 to 23 team members.
