Values
These Eight Values Guide The Work of Global Outreach
Prayer
We believe it is God who changes the hearts of people; therefore prayer should be the most consistent ministry activity.
Transformation
We believe the presence of the Church universal should be a transforming agent within the culture. By uniting churches in prayer and service, the Holy Spirit will transform the culture for the Kingdom.
Indigenous Ministry
We believe ministry is most effectively done by trained indigenous men and women within their own culture. For long-term reproducibility, ministries should receive their primary financial support from sources within their culture.
Local Church
We believe the local church is God's primary vehicle for the expansion of His Kingdom. Therefore we will invest the largest portion of GO resources in building the capacity of the Church to transform its community.
Reciprocal Partnerships
We believe partnership is a two way street where independent entities work together to accomplish more than either could alone. The interdependence of the global body is God?s sovereign design for expanding His Kingdom. Therefore in all of our partnerships we will seek a mutually beneficial Kingdom relationship.
Mobilization
We believe that God calls each believer to be engaged in mission. Therefore, we will seek through partnership to mobilize the whole church, to take the whole gospel, to the whole city.
Collaboration
We believe that in every partnership we must seek to answer the question: what can we do together that apart could not be accomplished? If it can be done without us, our presence is not required.
Contextualization
We believe that in all we do, it is NOT "our thing, our way," BUT a "Jesus thing, their way."
