A word from the Global Outreach staff:
Perimeter and six other churches come alongside our Guatemala partners as they run a local ministry called Medical Missions Ministries which seeks to bring not only physical, but spiritual healing to the surrounding villages of Guatemala City. We also assist two local churches, Showers of Grace and Vida Real, with their ministry to street children, abused women and the poor in the areas around the churches. An Entrepreneur School has recently been established where we aid in facilitating classes on micro enterprise and kingdom business start-ups in the urban environment. About Guatemala City, Guatemala:
Dr. Hermann Alb and his wife, Linda, began Medical Missions Ministries in Guatemala in 1987 and formalized their partnership with Perimeter in 1990. Hermann's calling is, and has always been, to evangelize rural Guatemala using roving medical clinics to create opportunities to share the gospel. Over the past nineteen years, Hermann and his lay teams have traveled to hundreds of villages and have presented the gospel to tens of thousands of rural Guatemalans who would have had no other opportunity to hear the plan of salvation. Several thousand accept Christ each year and new village church plants are flourishing as a result of this ministry.
